Manufactured in Niigata, Japan, Snow Peak’s titanium products are renowned for utilizing intricate welds and a multi-step process passed through generations. Each of their titanium products are a result of superior craftsmanship, attention to design, and aesthetic uniqueness from a sandblasted finish.
As for the Snow Peak Ti-Double 300 Mug, the titanium construction is bomber and reliable. After a year of heavy use, I can safely say that it’s the last camping mug I’ll ever need. Even after bouncing around in my pack during countless miles in the backcountry, plus daily use at home, the mug is still in near perfect condition (minus some scratches from a few falls).
As the sole feature on this minimalistic mug, the titanium handles collapse down to minimize space when packed up or fold out for greater control of a pour / sip.
The handles themselves are well-attached and even maintain their shape when holding the mug full of coffee. They’ve never felt flimsy and are a welcomed addition for added versatility in the great outdoors.
May and I start every morning with piping hot coffee – whether in the backcountry or at home. And thanks to this mug’s vacuum-sealed double wall build, it keeps our coffee warm for a relatively long time and is comfortable to use. You can hold it without burning your hands and drink from it without burning your lips – unlike single-wall cups.
As for the size, the 300 ml capacity is perfect for compatibility with an AeroPress or other lightweight brewers.
The Snow Peak Ti-Double 300 Mug’s superb quality and simplicity of design give it an unmistakable elegance. Regardless of the environment it’s in, the mug will never look out of place due to its timeless aesthetic.
At the time of writing, the mug comes in four colorways: grey, blue, purple, and green.
If you’re looking for an incredibly durable and ultralight double-wall cup, the Ti-Double 300 Mug is arguably the best on the market. And while the initial price might seem high, this mug will outlast you and your grandchildren – making its titanium construction alone, worth investing in.
Alternatively, if you’re interested in a more minimalist mug (no handles), Snow Peak also sells the simplisitic Ti-Double H450 Stacking Mug – as does rival Japanese manufacturer Soto, with their Aeromug 450.
As for more wallet-friendly options, we recommend the Toaks 450 Ti Mug or the Lixada Camping Mug 450.
Did you know that… when you purchase something through one of our links, we earn a small fee. However, you still pay the exact same amount. It’s a win-win that keeps our lights on.
The Snow Peak Ti-Double 300 Mug is our top recommendation because of its lightweight design and bomber construction. It’s best for those who need a mug that won’t take up too much space, is comfortable to use, and easy to clean / maintain.
There’s not much to dislike about the Snow Peak Ti-Double 300 Mug but we’d appreciate an add-on option for a titanium lid, rather than a silicone one.
Yes, just be sure to not have the mug next to anything that can scratch it while the dishwasher is in use.
As expected from Snow Peak, the build quality is bombproof and an accurate reflection of the premium price paid.
Minus a few scratches, this mug still looks great and insulation is just as good as day one. The minor scratches remind us of “patina” on leather and give the mug some character.
We’ve gotten some more scratches on the Ti mug, but the handles and insulation are still top-notch.
